This boutique hotel is simply charming.The hotel is decorated in the art-decor style and our room was clean,quiet and bed was was very comfortable.Breakfast buffet was very good with a good variety of choices! Their cappuccinos are amazing and the service is excellent. A special thank you especially to the front desk reception that were very helpful to us and even escorted us to the outside to say goodbye to us when we were leaving. Very kind and friendly! The hotel is situated near the Arco del Pace pedestrian area, Sempione Park and Sforzesco castle.About a 20 min.walk.Good inexpensive restaurants in the Corso Sempione area nearby. You have your choice of 2 train stations nearby and the trams are close to the hotel. Milan has so much to offer and is a beautiful city!We would stay at the Lancaster again for sure!

The staff at the hotel is outstanding. Breakfast was delicious everyday. There are several great restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. We used a taxi to get around, but many sites are walkable. Our room had a great balcony and a spacious bathroom. The bed was comfortable and large. If we travel back to Milan, we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is located in a quiet, and safe residential neighborhood. It is more that a short walk to the Duomo area, but there are multiple trolleys that run close to the hotel. We used the trolleys on many occasions to go downtown, they are easy to navigate, and they run day and night. Buy tickets at the hotel. There are many restaurants in the area within walking distance. It was a pleasure to walk through the Pacro Sempione (nearby) though the old castle grounds to the Duomo. It is a vast and beautiful park enjoyed by the locals (yoga, drum circles, bocce ball, music performances, restaurants, and beautiful landscapes). The hotel is well appointed and is quite sophisticated. The breakfasts were first rate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was of a nice size and had a beautiful bathroom with a balcony off of it. We took the subway from the main train terminal, then a trolley to the hotel. This hotel is very reasonably priced and highly recommended. When we left on our last day ultra-early, the hotel clerk brought us a croissant for the taxi ride to the train station.

The hotel was excellent. Well situated. Well appointed. Very good breakfasts. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The style and decor of the hotel was completely charming. We felt very comfortable and well looked after during our stay.

The rooms were sparkling clean, large lovely towels, comfortable beds! I Loved the property ! Will stay again!

We were very happy with our recent stay at the Lancaster. The staff are very well trained and really helpful with good advice. We took their recommendation for a local restaurant with homemade pasta and were so pleased we visited it twice. Advice on the finer points of Italian coffee was explained to my daughter at breakfast, and there was always a friendly smile at the reception desk. The Lancaster is a historic building and this results in a slightly small room, not really a problem unless you plan to bring lots of suitcases. Our room had effective double glazing and shutters which kept out any noise that was outside. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful. A substantial breakfast was included in our room price. We liked the location which is slightly out of the main tourist area, however this is no disadvantage as the frequent trams whisk you to your next sight

This is a charming hotel away from the bustle of the Milan core. The staff could not do enough for their guests, and we slept on the most comfortable beds of our trip. Without a doubt I will return, and recommend this to our friends. It's laid back, comfortable and quiet. A real gem! Thank you for treating us so well during our visit.

Perfect small hotel with exceptional service. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Room was well appointed with good bedding. Mine was a bit on the small side but fine for just me. It had everything in it that i would want and the location was wonderful in a lovely neighborhood. I would definitely return.

We were looking for a hotel to stay at for two nights after attending a wedding on Lake Como. I came across a review of this hotel and am really pleased we did. We had two interconnecting rooms, one standard and one superior, and both were very clean, well equipped and a good size. The location was fantastic as we were able to walk everywhere easily from the hotel- central Milan and Duomo in about 20 mins with two teenagers in tow. There were plenty of nice bars and restaurants around yet you were in a nice quiet residential street. The breakfast was great, a nice selection of food and the coffee was amazing - try the latte macchiato. This is a small hotel with great old school hospitality and fantastic location. We’d definitely recommend and would return.

Very nice second floor room with a big bathroom and a small balcony. A lift made carrying bags easy. Not right in the city but trams or underground only a few minutes walk and the hotel sells 24hour passes. Hop on Hop off bus stops nearby also. Great breakfast plenty of variety.

Beautiful Hotel in the city. Very nice and good service. The breakfast is really really good espeacilly for this price . The rooms are very big and clean. I can really recommend you to visit this beautiful hotel.

Comfortable, well located hotel with excellent staff who are were always able to provide information when we needed it. 20 - 25 minutes walk to the centre of the Duomo through the Parco Sempione and the Castello Sforzesco. The area has many bars and restaurants so no need to walk far for dinner. A great place for a few days in Milan.

Amazing!! Leonardo was an exceptional concierge/front desk manager who was extremely well informed about everything. He made our stay extremely pleasant. He was able to give us all info re events, transportation and costs and how to avoid tourist traps. All hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating and the rooms were immaculately clean. We got great reccomendationd for local restaurants and tours. We will definitely go back to Milan and this wonderful hotel.

Staff was amazing and the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. We loved our stay here. The beds were cozy, the tv was huge and had English channels. Also, the WiFi was superb. Would stay here every time.

Stayed here for a week in April 2019 on a business trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very relaxing environment, clean comfortable rooms and proximity to Cadorna train station as well as restaurants makes it a great option. The staff is super nice. Will definitely stay here again.

This small hotel is located about 300metres from the Arco del Pace (Milans answer to Marble Arch or Arc d'Triumph) and the same to tram stops. The staff are excellent, especially Ruggero on reception. He seemed to be on duty most of the time and was very helpful, giving us tips of where to go. Milan has a great transport system, buses, trams and Metro. Recommend getting the 1 or 3 day transport card, allowing to get on and off all day long hotel does sell these cards. Back to the hotel. There are two steps up to the lift (if this may be difficult for you).The room we had was very clean, twin beds as requested. Had a mini fridge with various drinks in and at a reasonable price. The balcony overlooked the street but whilst traffic noise was obvious with the doors open it was quiet at night when closed and shutters down. Like most hotels abroad it does not have tea/coffee facilities. The restaurant is opened mainly for breakfast, which was good with plenty of choice for a continental breakfast. Bacon and scrambled egg available also. The restaurant is not opened at other times, however the hotel has a restricted list of food available at other times which will be prepared to order. This is from the freezer and not fresh, which based on the hotel size is understandable. Bar was comfortable and had a reasonable selection and is manned by reception. Overall this 3* is ideal if you want a clean hotel, with great staff and happy to walk a few hundred metres for transport (buses may be closer but not used). However if you want a full dining experience then this not for you. Being an ex hotel inspector I agree with other reviewers who rate this hotel worthy of 4 or 5 stars, except then they have to provide a fully operational restaurant and bar and other services which is not practical or financially viable for a hotel of this size

Excellent hotel overall. Amazing, very helpful and friendly staff; great location - close to main city sites and at the same time not overcrowded with tourists; spacious rooms; very good breakfast with locally sourced food. Overall, loved the small, boutique-ish nature of the hotel, with personalized attention to every guest.

Front desk staff was helpful always; above and beyond. The breakfast service was complete and very satisfying at an early enough hour. Request for things like extra pillows was quickly met. Circumstances caused us to arrive. early and the hotel kindly held luggage, and offered us a beverage until the room was ready, which was a bit earlier than the stated check in. The bed was very comfortable and there was a room darkening shade on the window. The staff was able to find a cork screw to use for a bottle of wine we bought one evening. As I say, very kind and went out of their way for us.

Perfect location. Excellent staff and our room was extremely comfortable. Exceeded our expectations; value for money! The breakfast was great. Close to everything including the new City Life shopping complex. 5 minutes walk. Great shopping there and the restaurants were a great find in the upstairs food hall. Value for money. Restaurants are close to the hotel and offer clasic Italian dishes at good prices.

The room was very well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast had many good choices. We especially were happy with the very helpful staff who gave good transportation and helpful touring tips. The location was in a very good area with great cafes nearby. We would definitely choose the Lancaster Hotel for a future trip to Milan.
